Being an artist is my permission to be authentic in that present moment when everything connects and I snap the shutter. It also allows for an acknowledged shared moment of existence - either between subject and artist and / or artist and viewer. Between June 2020 to 2022 I had a studio/gallery in the Arts Factory in the Arts District downtown Las Vegas. Being there during the height of the pandemic and the shut down was both a blessing and a curse. Blessing because I have shots that I will never (hopefully) be able to take again and curse because of the loss of foot traffic.
